Meet Our Team

David Cullinane, P.T., O.C.S.

David graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 1986. He was the out-patient Clinical director at Physician's Physical Therapy until March of 1992. In April of 1992 he received his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist certification. He is also the co-founder and past president of the Tacoma Orthopedic PT Special Interest Group. David opened Westgate Orthopaedic Physical Therapy & Exercise in August of 1992. From May 1995 until September 1998, he was also the physical therapist for the semi-professional baseball team, the Tacoma Timbers.

John Sinykin, D.P.T., O.C.S.

John graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2000 with a Master's degree in physical therapy and completed a transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in spring of 2005. He also received his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Certification in June of 2008 and is currently pursuing a manual therapy certification. John has a special interest in sports rehabilitation, especially working with overhead athletes, and was the physical therapist for the Seattle Studs semi-professional baseball team during the summers of 2002 and 2003. He has served as a research content adviser for the University of Puget Sound and is dedicated to the development of future physical therapists through clinical instruction.

Jamie Sato, D.P.T., O.C.S.

Jamie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound in 2003 and became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in June of 2008. She has a special interest in sports rehabilitation and is currently pursuing a certification in manual therapy. Jamie is an avid athlete and a former collegiate soccer player.

Susan Sipes, M.P.T.

Susan received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from the University of Washington. Susan has experience in many different aspects of physical therapy including orthopaedic, neurological, inpatient, transitional care, hand, vestibular, aquatic therapy, and wound care. She especially enjoys working with patients who have had total joint replacements and patients with balance deficits.

Maurisa Terao, D.P.T.

Mauri received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Integrative Physiology at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Zach Stageberg, PT Aide

Zach graduated with a bachelors degree in biology from WSU .

Stephanie Sipes, PT Aide

Stephanie graduated from WSU with a bachelors in kinesiology. Stephanie plans to pursue a
career in physical therapy. She will be applying to graduate schools this fall.

Kellie Fawcett, ATC, PT aide

Kellie graduated from the University of Montana and holds a bachelors degree in athletic training. Kellie works at Westgate as a PT aide and a Bellarmine Preparatory Academy as their athletic trainer.

Kati Chan, PT aide

Kati is a senior at UPS majoring in exercise science with a minor in business. After college, Kati plans to return home to California and work on her applications to physical therapy graduate schools.

Cassie Croissant, Front Desk

Cassie graduated from South Seattle Community College with a degree in culinary arts. She has a background in medical billing but her passion is cooking. She also enjoys photography and spending time with her daughter, Vera.

Mandy Spillner, Billing/Office Manager

Mandy has a degree in medical billing, graduating with honors from Everest College. She has
been with Westgate Physical Therapy for 4 years and has transitioned to being
our in-house billing manager. Feel free to ask her insurance, financial or
billing related questions.
